SEObolt ("we", "us", "our") is a product of Royal Plugins. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our website at seobolt.io and our SaaS application at app.seobolt.io (collectively, the "Service").
Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and password (hashed). If you register via a plugin license key, we collect the license key and associated email.
Google Data: If you connect Google Search Console or Google Analytics, we access your search performance data, analytics data, and property list through Google's OAuth2 API. We only access data you explicitly authorize.
Usage Data: We collect anonymous usage metrics such as pages visited, features used, and error logs to improve the Service.
Payment Information: If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your credit card details.
Your data is stored on secure servers hosted by Vercel (SOC 2 compliant) and our database provider. All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS encryption. Google OAuth tokens are stored encrypted and are only used to fetch data you've authorized.
We retain your account data and associated SEO data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data and SEO data within 30 days. Anonymized, aggregated data may be retained for analytics purposes.
You have the right to:
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
The Service is not intended for users under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
This section applies to browser extensions published under the SEObolt brand, including SEObolt SEO Checker on the Chrome Web Store.
Page Analysis: All SEO analysis is performed locally in your browser. Page content, HTML, meta tags, and headings are read from the active tab only when you click the extension icon, and are never transmitted to our servers or any third party.
Anonymous Usage Analytics: Starting with version 1.1.0, our extensions send anonymous product usage events to help us improve the product. These events include: install/update/uninstall, popup opens, scan completions (with aggregate score and counts of passing/warning/failing checks), scan errors, and outbound link clicks. We also send the hostname (e.g. "example.com") of scanned pages — never full URLs, query strings, or page content. Each install is identified by a randomly-generated anonymous ID stored locally; no email, account, IP logging, or personal data is attached.
Processor: Analytics events are processed by PostHog Inc. (US Cloud) under their privacy policy. No data is sold or shared with third-party advertisers.
Permissions: Our extensions request only the minimum permissions required: activeTab (access current page on click only), scripting (inject analysis script into the current page), and storage (store the anonymous analytics ID locally on your device). No background access to other tabs or browsing activity.
Opting Out: To disable analytics, uninstall the extension. Uninstalling also triggers an anonymous uninstall event and opens a feedback page at seobolt.io; no data beyond the anonymous ID is sent.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a notice on the Service.
